flower effect is a public art concept envisioned by botanical artist, Patricia Gillespie of sharpstick studio.
flower effect uses the universal appeal of flowers to inspire direct action and community involvement in the many current issues affecting us all in the Bay Area, ie. social justice, education, or housing and displacement crisis to name a few. By creating immersive floral installations, flower effect will provide a focal point for fundraising and a conduit for neighbor interaction and community building.
